Conventional radiography (x-ray) is a simple and painless procedure that enables the radiologist to interpret the bony and soft tissue anatomy for a diagnosis.
Tomography is a series of x-rays that focus on a specific level within the body. Tomographic exams show precise and detailed images of selected tissue, organs, or bony anatomy.
Before your procedure, the technologist may ask you to change into a gown if there is any metal in your clothing. You will be positioned on the x-ray table and the technologist will take the x-rays which may include several views.
After your films are processed, our radiologist will read your films and prepare a report for your physician. If you need to take films to your physician, inform the technologist.
X-rays do not require an appointment.
Please bring your x-ray order with you from your doctor or have them fax it to us..
If you need to request films for an upcoming doctor's visit, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance.
