CT Scanning (computerized tomography) combines x-rays with computer scans for specific parts of the body.  The scans appear as slices with a detailed picture of soft tissue, organs and bones.    

Berland Imaging's CT Scanner at our Creve Coeur facility is a fourth generation helical scanner that produces more slices per rotation when compared to a non-helical scanner.  Our CT scanner produces high-quality images to help your physician diagnose your problem as accurately as possible.

Prior to your scan, your physician's office should call to schedule your test.  If your test requires special preparation such as contrast, we will instruct your physician's office on any required preparation.  Patients may also call our center for additional information.  

During your scan, you may be asked to wear a gown.  You will lie on a platform that slides into the scanner.  The technologist will instruct you on what to do during the test.  After your scan, the radiologist will read your films and prepare your report to be faxed to your physician.  If you need copies of your CT films, please let us know.
